Ben Powell is President of Mayesh Wholesale Florist, where he has worked since 2005. Mayesh is a leading wholesale distributor of floral products with 22 branches located in 13 states. He began his career in the floral industry in 1994, serving as President of HOSA International, a Miami floral importer serving supermarkets and wholesalers.

From 1989 – 1994, Ben was a strategy consultant for Boston-based Monitor Group, where he worked with client teams to develop corporate and business unit strategies. While at Monitor, he helped launch a national competitiveness practice with a year-long economic strategy project for the Colombian government. He also worked in public and legislative affairs at the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington, DC from 1986-1988.

Ben is active in his community and has served in a variety of leadership positions on non-profit boards, his church and in politics. He is a graduate of Denison University and Harvard Business School. He and his wife Stephanie have three grown children.
