Martin W. Meskers AAF is President of Oregon Flowers, Inc., a specialty cut flower nursery in Aurora, Oregon. Martin grew up in the rich bulb culture of the Netherlands, working side by side with his family on a 3rd generation bulb farm in North Holland. In 1979, at the young age of 21, Martin emigrated from Holland to the United States with his wife, Helene. They settled in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, to pursue the American Dream and passion of growing flowers. In 1985, Martin and Helene started Oregon Flowers, Inc. Since then, two of their three children have joined them in the family business.

Throughout his career, Martin has served in several volunteer leadership roles within the floral industry. Martin is a past SAF President, SAF board of directors’ member, executive committee member, and a member of the Oregon Association of Nurseries, the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, and the North American Lily Society.
In his spare time, Martin enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his wife, 3 children, and 8 grandchildren, and riding his bike through the greenhouses.
